Below a description of different calculations in Media plans

Net Net is gross minus discounts.

In the example above there are discounts, Dagens Nyheter ( 2000 SEK) and Aftonbladet (15000 SEK).  That is 10000 + 50000 – 2000 – 15000 = 43000 SEK.

Net-net Net-net is net minus the media’s provisions.

In the example, the provisions makes up totally 43000 – 400 – 1050 = 41550 SEK.

Net-net client Net-net client is the same as net net, except in cases where  the media agencies keep a part of the provisions.

In the above example the agency keeps  900 SEK.  That is 41550 + 900 = 42450 SEK.

CTC Cost to client is net-net but inclusive of capital cost, insertion fee, order fee, plan fee and other fees in the client agreement.

In the example above the agreement includes: insertion fee 50 SEK, order fee 500 SEK and capital cost 3 % (minimum 400 SEK).  the capital cost is in this case based on net-net (i.e. after provisions).  For Dagens Nyheter, the capital cost ended up at 228 SEK,  which was increased to 400 SEK, and for Aftonbladet 1018,50 SEK. Note, that they are two different orders with one insertion per order.

The total CTC will thus be 42450 + 50 + 50 + 500 + 500 + 400 + 1018,50 = 44969 SEK.

Base price gross

Base price gross is the ad’s price either with or without colour. This depends on whether  Divide base price and surcharges in  the Media database is ticked in, or a colour surcharge manually has been entered on a price row.

In the example above it is not ticked in, thus base price and colour has been summarized.

Base price net

Base price net is the same as net above, i.e. the gross price after deducted discounts.

Colour gross

Colour gross is the gross price of the colour surcharge, i.e. before any discounts have been deducted.  The column is only used when Divide base price and surcharge in the  Media database is ticked in or a colour surcharge manually has been entered on a separate price row.

Colour net

Colour net is the net price of the colour surcharge, i.e. before any discounts have been deducted.  The column is only used when Divide base price and surcharge in the  Media database is ticked in or a colour surcharge manually has been entered on a separate price row.
