Spärra funktioner för kodbyten
Vi har implementerat en förbättring i Marathon gällande hur koder används i systemet.
Koder används i databaser för att skapa referenser mellan olika tabeller.
Som exempel anges projektledaren på ett projekt genom att skriva in dennes medarbetarkod i projektledarfältet.
I många system används interna koder, som inte syns för användaren. I Marathon har vi valt att arbeta med synliga koder - dels för att det ska gå snabbare att registrera referenser som man redan kan koderna till utantill, och dels för att kunna visa information på ett mer kompakt och tydligt sätt i tabeller med många kolumner.
Eftersom koderna också används som referenser från vårt BI system, vår nya funktion Engage, och andra externa systems, är det viktigt att de är stabila och konsekventa.
För att undvika att referenser ska vara missvisade i framtiden, kommer vi att ta bort möjligheten att ändra befintliga koder i Marathon.

When the ability to control the codes decreases, a minor adjustment in the way of working may be needed.
At the same time, it opens up for a more user-friendly, modern, and consistent way of working in the system.
Instead of entering a code directly into a field, we recommend that you use the quick search function, which searches by names.
This makes the registration both smoother and more intuitive, especially when a code is not remembered.
Similarly, we recommend that you choose to display names instead of codes in tables wherever possible.
This provides a clearer and more readable overview.
Change code is blocked in the following registers:
Project|Backoffice|Base registers: Employees, Clients & Projects, Fee codes, Purchase codes and Other codes.
Media|Backoffice|Base registers: Clients, Agreements and Media.
Accounting|Backoffice|Base registers: Suppliers and Asset types.
