It is now possible to make company specific settings for reported time to be automatically updated. The setting is done in Base registers/PRO/Parameters, tab Fee, by ticking the field Update after marked as finished. See below.

You have to log out and in again before the setting is active.

When you go to Marathon Time first time after the activation, the following message is shown:

A time report has to be marked as finished before it can be automatically updated. That means that the time reporter has to mark the time report as finished regardless of whether the reporting requirement is fulfilled or not.  Earlier a time report with the requested hours were automatically marked as finished (green in the calendar).

Example You have a reporting request of  7,5 hours per day.  You report 8 hours on June 21th. You save your time report without marking it as finished. The calendar looks like this:

You will have to tick in “Finished” in order to make the day green in the calendar. Then the time will also be updated.

When the time report is marked as finished and thus updated it can no longer be edited, which is similar with earlier manual updates made in Project accounting/Update.

If you use “Multiple days” the time report is updated when the required time is fulfilled. You don’t need to mark the reports as finished. If the required time not is fulfilled, the reports are  marked as Not ready.
