- I am trying to print a report with only active employees, but it keeps including those who have quit, why?
If the report shows working time request, there has to be an end date set on the employee's calendary in Base registers/Pro/Employees, tab Calendary.
- What are the different report types; standard, global and own?
Standard reports cannot be changed or deleted; they are included in the Marathon installation. Global reports are tailored for your company and can be used by all authorised users. Own reports can only be used by those who created them.
- Help, a report is missing!
It is either deleted, renamed or moved to an authorisation that you don't have.
- There is an asterisk (*) in front of some rows in the report.
You have been summarising in a way that doesn't work for the report. E.g. summarising on Invoice numbers on a report showing hours. Rows that cannot be summarised are shown with an asterisk in the summarising column.
- The report is empty, no data is shown.
You might have selected so that there are no hits. Try to change the selection by choosing another period, other projects, other employees, etc.
- I want to print the report to Excel.
Check the box "Spreadsheet" up to the left before printing.
- The sorting is wrong.
Check the box "Reversed" by the sorting fields.
- What is Elimination in reports?
It is only used if you have multiple agency handling, which is very unnusual. The function excludes duplicates that have been reported both on end projects and mirror projects.
- Do I need to select currency when I'm printing the report?
No, only if your Marathon installation has several companies with different currencies and you share the project accounting.
- It takes a long time to print a report.
It depends on how you sort and sum the report. Try to click CANCEL PRINTOUT and put some limitations on the selection.
- How do I handle authorisations for reports?
If you create a report without making it global, only you can see it. If you make it global, all authorised users will be able to see it. You can also select an authorisation group for a global report.
